Airbrush Body Art

Airbrush Body Art

Body tattoos have been popular since the Neolithic age, and has been a practice for many cultures worldwide. Body art in definition consists of body piercings and mostly body paints or tattoos that decorate the human physical form. There are other types of body art expressions that also resort to mutilation of the skin or body parts.

Body painting has become a popular version of body art. It is used in fine art exhibits as well as for protest rallies. There have even been several models who have posed for magazines wearing nothing but pure body paint, and they actually look as if they are wearing clothes! Many artists enjoy having their bodies painted as a form of fashion statement, as well as a way of attracting publicity. Most of the commercial body painters use airbrushes as well as regular brushes to accomplish their different techniques on one medium of body artwork.

Body tattoos, whether permanent or temporary, are the most common form of body art practiced today. Since 1998, temporary tattooing has claimed its rightful spot as a form of art since many designs are possible with the use of stencils and many different body paints that have been developed over the years. Originally the use of the regular body paintbrush and skilled hands were used for achieving the artistic effects of such body artworks. These days, it is made much easier using the airbrush.

The airbrush is a tool or device that has been developed specifically for the use of many types of artwork, whether for tattoo, canvas painting, or even for regular industrial painting. The concept is the same for industrial, except a bigger version of this is used with consideration for the amount of space being covered. The regular, more atomized version of the airbrush is what paint artists use on canvas, or tattoo artists use on temporary body tattoos. This is the most common tool used by many temporary airbrush tattoo businesses for family gatherings and children’s parties, as many people can be painted during one event, and the paint will last them a few days, acting as a sort of giveaway souvenir for the occasion.

Airbrush body art is simply artwork using a human body as a medium, and the only tools used are the airbrush, possibly small touch-up brushes, and body color paints. Since this is a form of body painting, the paint used is usually temporary and may last from a few hours to a couple of months, depending on the type. Paints used on the human body have to be water-based, hypoallergenic, and use as many natural ingredients as possible in order to avoid the otherwise adverse effects of regular chemical based paints. Natural henna tattoos have been used as a common form of airbrush painted body art today, and has become something very popular among the younger generation. Airbrush Body Art
